| The Lino kopos ( Linen Dunes), a design studio and retail store, offers a captivating range of linen indoor and outdoor wear for different seasons, occasions, and tastes, both moderate and eccentric. | Designed by Vilnius-based Giedrius Сrkauskas, 38, women`s and men`s wear feature only natural linen varieties. Yet the diversity is surprising: it is not only colour scheme or prints that vary. The designer, whose been working exclusively with linen for five years, makes use of different thickness of yarn, pattern of weave, and the degree of finish or roughness to produce anything from a linen bra to an outdoor coat. Convertible designs and padded items extend the linen season far beyond summer, while apparent drawbacks of natural fabric, like wrinkles with some ingenuity have been turned into hip features. Linen accessories and amber jewellery (both, for women and men) by Giedrius complete the cool look. | Besides working directly on a one-to-one basis with the customer, the Lino Kopos attracts orders from abroad for their brand name items. These are sold in fashion boutiques in Scandinavia, Russia and America. A modern and spacious sewing facility adjacent to the studio enables the Lino Kopos produce any quantity desired of their designs, with a supervision of the designer. | New collections by Giedrius can be seen at the annual local fashion event Baltijos Mada and other fashion projects, or at the Lino Kopos studio. |
